Low Carbon Supports Green Manufacturing | SRIBS Smart Factory. Awarded the National "Green Factory" Title
Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China announced the 2024 list of green manufacturing companies. SRIBS Smart Factory in Shanghai was awarded the national "Green Factory" title.
The national "Green Factory" title, as a model and leader for the green transformation of industrial enterprises, is awarded by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) to enterprises that exemplify green and high-quality development across various industries. This is part of MIIT's efforts to implement the industrial green development, promote green manufacturing, and support the industrial sector in achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals.
SRIBS Smart Factory
To deeply implement the "dual carbon" strategy, the SRIBS factory systematically promotes green and low-carbon development. By building a digital twin-based smart manufacturing factory, it has established a comprehensive digital system covering the entire lifecycle of R&D, production, sales, and service, reducing the energy consumption per unit product by 8%. The factory has also deployed automated production lines with MES systems and smart warehouse management systems to improve material utilization. Environmental management measures, such as photovoltaic power generation, carbon inventory, and product carbon footprint calculation, are implemented alongside lightweight product design to effectively reduce resource consumption and environmental impact across the entire industry chain. These innovative practices not only demonstrate the SRIBS’ role as a model in green manufacturing but also provide replicable solutions for sustainable development in the construction machinery industry. Additionally, the factory has completed carbon inventory and product carbon footprint calculations in accordance with standards such as GB/T 32150-2015, PAS 2050:2011, and ISO 14067:2018, to further reduce carbon emissions throughout the product lifecycle.
